FEAR NOT!!

Good morning everyone and welcome to another wonderful Tuesday morning! Today I hope to get a lot of errands and stuff done as well as a good workout and research. The temperature in the area is back down to a reasonable level thank goodness because that heat was sweltering down here for real. I know my blog has been all over the place and not very consistent. We all know life happens and when it does we must adjust, to be the best we can be and that’s what I have been trying to do more and more here lately! The blog starts now!

I decided to take the job offer and start serving again just part time so that I can get some good cardio in as well as make a few ends here and there. I’m blessed to be in a position over this last year or so not to have to work and just focus on getting my health on track! I realize not everyone gets to take time off of work to focus on fat loss and self improvement but again I have the best partner in the game and I am thankful for all her love and support! At 44 I’m older and the years of access weight on my joints have taken a toll but I have recently lost a great amount of weight and it’s time to get moving and stretch my limitations. Serving is fast paced and while it will not be the carreer that I see myself doing for the duration of my life I honestly feel like it is a step in the right diretcion as far as physical growth! My focus will be on cardio first, working hard and pushing my body to gain endurance and flexibility. The money is obviously important but on the list of things I’m taking the job for it is 3rd or 4th. I have a background in customer service so I’m fairly confident I’ll be fine as far as connecting with people. The shorter hours will allow me time to continue to focus on my fat loss journey and other goals as well! Wish me luck, I would be lying if I said I wasn’t super nervous!

 

Yesterday I went to the gym to get a good lift and it felt amazing to be able to do a fasted workout! My energy level was amazing and the gym was fairly empty so that’s a combination for success for sure! I’ve been walking and spending more time on my feet lately than ever before and I think it is helping my foot pain. Like most people I have a weight dominate side and it’s my right side, so the foot on that side gets the grunt of the soreness when I spend a large portion of time on my feet. The best way I can see to get over this pain is to keep pushing foward and losing fat to put less and less stress on those joints and tissue. It really is time for me to start doing squats and lower body lifting to help with my overall body compisition! I have until December to get as much out of this gym memebership as I can before I switch to my home gym idea, so I’m certainly going to be working on getting my lower body in gear! I have oreintation for my new job at 2:30 today so I’ll probably hit the gym earlier than normal or maybe tommorow, I’m not sure what my work schedule will be yet so I’m just guessing at this point!

 

The alternate day fasting has been going great for me so far, yetsterday I had a really bad hunger swing on my fasting day which is super abnormal for me but I think my body is still adjusting to fasting every other day instead of eating every single day! The scale keeps going the right way and you know I will update you all as I go I just haven’t been weighing myself as much as of lately. With fasting, the weight fluctuates so much because of water and other factors I want to make sure that I give my body enough time between scale jumps to be a true reading and not just a super low number because I haven’t eaten in a few days. It’s taken a great deal of time but I finally feel confident that I have a great amount of tools in my chest against fat loss! I can honestly say that while I have tons of weight to still lose, I am healthier now than I have ever been and I eat and treat my body alot better now! Today is a feast day so I get to eat my 2 meals of high fat low carb foods and I can’t wait to dig in because I have some delicious food in there!

 

The diet has been a beautiful thing to behold lately. I haven’t been eating any food that I wouldn’t be proud of and the carbs have been low but healthy leafy greens and nuts! My pistachio game has been obese!!! I absolutely love them so I have to pre portion those bad boys out or I’ll eat way to many! What’s been working for me of late is having my first meal be a nice sized meal and then having a green smoothie sometime in the day to get my greens in, then later in the day having my last larger meal. So you could say that I have 2 and a half meals on my feeding days, but I find that I feel satisfied and dont feel the need to stuff myself with food. I’m thinking about checking out adding Collagen into my routine to help with strong joints and bones. I’m still researching if it really works or not but yall know I’m always up on game!

Just want to say that while I am nervous and a little scared about starting this new job and thus new cardio challenge, I do understand that growth is always on the other side of fear. Our bodies and minds try to protect us from things but fear is something that isn’t design to stop us but to pause us! I refuse to let fear stop me from pursuing these fat loss goals I have and I refuse to let fear stop me from doing whatever it takes to better my families life as well as my own. We are designed to deal with the other side of fear, it’s not suppose to stop us it’s suppose to pause us long enough to understand what the next thing will do or if we are sure this is what we want to do, but never let fear stop you from getting better! I AM CHANGE and in order to be change we all must stretch our limits and reach for things we thought were impossible, that’s what true living is about!

Decisions, Decisions

20180713_063500.pngIt’s Friday and the weekend is about to begin, I’m very happy to be able to get out of bed early and get a jump on the day this morning! I’ve already brewed coffee, it’s very early and the house is very relaxed and quiet for now so this is the perfect time to get some work done before the family gets up and going. The Fiance’ and kids just got back from a fantastic trip to New York City and I must admit I am glad to have them back home. So let’s get this thing started!

Even though they are doing construction at my gym I was still able to get a few workouts in this week, in fact, I will be going again this morning for my last lift of the week. I’m thinking of getting some much-needed cardio in this weekend if the weather isn’t too bad, we are scheduled for a pretty bad heatwave this Saturday so I may be doing my cardio indoors.lol. I have been downloading some really great music lately which always helps my workout performance so I’m super excited about that! I’m working chest and triceps again today with a few shoulder exercises thrown in if time permits. The gym has been somewhat of a boring place for me lately but like I said before, I haven’t gone swimming in awhile and with so much going on here lately I have been less focused on the gym mentally even though my body is going.

On the diet front, the family came home from their trip strapped down with all types of candies and stuff I try to stay away from and I admit I had a few chocolates covered fat loss suppressors when they first got home. I didn’t go overboard however and I have still been making my food in advance to keep my snacking down. My diet of late is mostly my good ole reliable baked chicken but I have also been eating a good amount of broccoli lately. In fact, I baked some pork rind covered chicken last night that I will share with you all in this post as well as some plain baked chicken in butter. The plan is to go to Sam’s Club and grab some more steamed veggies to go with my chicken this week along with some pistachios and turkey bacon! Of course, no matter if I’m fasting or not I always have my morning coffee so I will be grabbing a few bags of whole bean coffee to stock up the bean jar! Nothing new here this week as far as food because with all the things going on I chose to keep it simple and what I know will be delicious and easy.

As you know I am a big believer in fasting and I have been doing various fasting protocols lately. This week I will be doing alternate day fasting which is by far the most, simple fasting there is in my opinion! I simply eat one day followed by a full day of fasting and repeat.I’ll probably do this for a month to give it enough time to see results and then play around with it depending on my fat loss results. I’m finding it easier and easier to tell the difference between being hungry or thirsty and it has really been a blessing to me. I try to keep well-hydrated no matter what so if I’m drinking a ton of water and I’m hungry, I know it’s the real deal and it’s time to feast! Actually, I feel much better in a fasted state than I do after eating lately and that’s just mind-blowing to me. There truly is something to this fasting thing and I wish everyone who reads this to try it out for themselves it may be the game-changer your looking for.

Recently I have been dealing with a really awesome job opportunity and while I am happy to be given this chance I feel like I am struggling with taking it. My gut tells me there is something just not right about the situation for me but the money would come in handy and the exercise on the job would really help me to shed body fat. The big thing is I don’t, nor have I ever truly wanted to work for anyone else. Most of my life I have and I have had some awesome jobs but while doing those jobs I always thought I wanted to do something I loved to do every day as my job! This offer is a blessing and I will probably take it but I’m doing so just to speed up my move to the west coast and back to the side of the country I love the most.  It’s something that can be long-term if I so desire but isn’t anything I would want to do for the remainder of my working life. I have a few days to decide if I want the job so that’s really cool and I have always been one to be thankful for any blessings coming my way as I am about this one. Like my youngest son always say’s “Living Is Work!”

TRUE GRIT

Good morning and happy Monday everyone! it is a beautiful day here in the southwest and I hope that wherever you are there are sunny and clear skies abound. This morning I had a great talk with my girl about happiness. It’s always a great idea to make sure if you’re going to spend the rest of your life with someone, that you continue to go over and examine what happiness is and if you both are on the same page! I’m blessed to have a person in my life who truly cares and loves me enough to have those types of conversations on the regular. Today is a great blessing and thank the lord that we never get what we deserve but what he blesses us with! With that said let’s get this underway.

This weekend I made sure to hit the gym hard because I’m getting back into my gym routine and making sure my body still has what it takes to handle the challenge! So far all systems go as I have been blowing thru my workouts at a good clip. In fact today I will change my focus slightly and do heavier weights with fewer reps so that my body can burn more calories. I’m still not doing all free weights just yet because I’m still trying to figure some things out however I have been going and really focusing on maximum effort! Since I’m working chest and triceps today I will be trying to warm up properly but really get in a hard and heavy lift! The most exciting part is I may be trying out some new lifts today on machines I’ve never done before. My body may not be happy right away but I’m counting on it to adjust as always and produce for me.lol. Lately, I haven’t been doing my stairs as cardio because I’m starting to do more distance walking in the mornings starting this week! My knees and joints need to get accustomed to walking around a lot more if I’m ever going to truly get my stamina and endurance up!

 

My diet has been horrible this week! I say that because while my meals have been keto I’m still going over my caloric intake limit. I’ve also noticed that lately I’m hungry a lot more and fasting has become more and more difficult! These signs let me know that I am not as focused on my nutrition as I should be because before I went to Cali my hunger was super low and my fasting was effortless! The time has come to get back to basics with my diet. The formula always works which means that I have developed some bad habits along the way that are derailing my progress so I’m going back to square one. Keeping my carbs below 35g daily and maximizing my fat burning potential with protein and healthy fats! Going to bed at a decent and consistent time and getting at least 8 hours in! Going back to no food after 7 p.m unless it can’t be helped and certainly no bites of candy here and there. Meal prepping foods that are delicious and Macro specific to my goals and cutting out snacking. It’s pretty simple on paper I’m just refocusing.

I’m struggling with my focus but that will happen in life. The important thing about it is not staying unfocused, not staying down or falling short! As long as I’m honest with myself that I can always do something about it, and there’s the lesson! No matter what we are going thru we have to take responsibility and control and realize that the only way to stay on track is to stay aware of whats working or not working. I’m not going back to who I was and the dream may get blurry but it will never fade! This is my life and I’m the one that needs to keep focused! I love you all and the truth is I love myself too, I love myself enough to be a better man! Have an amazing day homies and thanks for being my support system.

I Got My Gear!

Happy day everyone we are finally back on Friday and I’m very blessed to have another chance to write to all of you! Today will be a wonderful day for everyone and plus it’s about to be the weekend and the return of the relaxing period! All of your hard work and perseverance this week has allowed you to set back and enjoy the relaxation of a job well done! I’m proud of you for making it this far and for those of you who work weekends, well you folks still got work to do what can I say? lol. Be thankful for today because today is unique and there will never be another chance like the chance you will get today!

Early workout yesterday, remember I told yall I was getting up early to do some of my workouts? Well, I was up at 3:30 a.m and went in to grab a nice relaxing Cardio session to get my day started. Early morning workouts really get the day off to a great start and yesterdays workout certainly did just that! Of course, later I went back to the gym at my normal afternoon time and did my lifting routine and boy did my body feel that whole double workout thing.lol. I was pouring sweat from head to toe and I definitely needed a long hot shower afterward! I haven’t had time to change my routine much because I’m just getting back into my rhythm in the gym but like the song says..change gon’ come! Plus, I’m not too sure I could have changed too much because my old workout proved to be harder to return to then I anticipated. The way I figure it a few more times back at it and I’ll be all ready to start afresh program. For whatever reason I have been listening to slow jams at the gym lately which is totally not like me, I mean I love the quiet storm but not usually in the gym. This week it’s just been my mood and I’ve been having zero problems getting in a solid workout. Today because of the house schedule I’m not doing an early morning workout just my afternoon lifting session but I will be resuming early cardio tomorrow for sure.

 

So yesterday I received my Samsung Gear Pro 2 from Amazon and wow! I really love this fitness watch so far! I’m not sponsored by them or anything but my opinion so far is that it blows my Fitbit blaze out of the water. The screen is the game changer, it has the most spectacular appearance I have ever seen in a fitness watch! All the features it has are fairly similar to most trackers, sleep monitoring, step counter, and heart rate sensors just like all the others but what I love about this tracker is that it stores my music right on the device so I don’t have to bring my phone in the gym! That alone made the 149.00 price tag worth it to me because I have plenty of watches so I don’t need everything in one but I like having the option to store music. Yet another feature I love is that it doesn’t make my wrist really uncomfortable. I’m not the type of person who can sleep with a watch on or anything on my wrist for that matter but last night I had no problem falling asleep with this thing on my wrist! I absolutely love the design and the feel and that it doesn’t make my wrist sweaty which is surprising because its made of silicon along the band. The last thing I love about it is since I love Samsung Phones and will probably always have one, the apps on my phone are so easily linked and that helps, I even got bumped up to a free year of premium myfitnesspal just for buying this device! It’s great!

Yesterday I broke my fast with some low carb chili dogs and a hot cup of coffee. Pretty basic I had leftover chili so I just threw a few dogs In the mix and the whole thing was extremely filling. I don’t do a complicated and long list of ingredients cooking on Keto, I strive for tasty and easy to make that way I will stay with it! My final meal was a create a sampler from Olive garden! I know not the best choice Keto wise but I had lunch with my girl and I figured I would take the carb hit with the breading. I had calamari and chicken fingers plus mozzarella which isn’t too bad but for the breading and the whole deep fried thing.lol. I’m not always perfect with my diet but I try hard not to deny myself times when I eat a little bit of junk as long as there’s not a ton of sugar because sugar is like crack to me and I would be in trouble! I would love to tell you I hit my macros last night but I didn’t because that sampler had over a thousand calories! I was like 50 calories over my daily amount so I’ll be o.k. I certainly won’t be making Olive garden part of my regular meal plan!

The future is not promised!

Today is going to be a fantastic day because of our decision to be happy right? Let’s just go ahead and make that decision now and get it out the way so we can get on with the proceedings this evening.

I didn’t hit the gym yesterday and I am really o.k with it. After my trip, THA GET BACK!! I realize my body was absolutely exhausted from all the driving and running around and I needed the slight change. I will still be getting all 4 lifts in this week I am simply starting today instead of my customary Monday start to the workout week. Today I will probably do chest/triceps and then some lower bodywork so that I can ease back into the swing of things. So today no excuses I will hit the gym running and get my mojo back! I bet the people in my gym think that I gave up on my workout goals even though I mentioned I’d be away.

 

 

My diet has been great however and since I been back it’s been super duper low carb! The way I see it there is absolutely no sense in losing weight on my vacation only to gain weight when I get back into my routine. There will be times when my fat loss is at a standstill but I’m not trying to gain weight right now.lol, The other day we had these amazing stuffed green bell peppers and they came out amazing! Then we put together this bomb low carb chili and of course, it was amazing! So yesterday I baked some wings and had them on the side with my chili and man it was delicious and filling. We even splurged a little and grabbed a pint of Halotop ice cream! That stuff is amazing and if you split the pint between 2 people it helps to lower the carb count per person! This week I hope to make more lamb from the Moink box we bought a while back.

The trip taught me that tomorrow is not promised to any of us! We truly have to live for today and cherish these blessings immediately and daily. Let’s not waste time with things that have no true importance and value. Let’s be of service to one another and bring love and respect to everyone we encounter! That’s right homies after a very big and emotional 10-day tour I’m back and feeling amazing! My trip was everything I thought it would be and then an extra bag of chips homie! I drove from Kentucky to Cali and back again so ya boi been going and going! Let’s get it homies!

As the title says I’m 518 which means if you follow my blog I lost 6 pounds while I was on tha get back tour which is incredible with all the driving and stuff I did, I mean I did travel alone so there’s that! I pre-made some meals so that I could keep it keto and I did for the most part. I did a little walking and beach strolling so maybe that helped in the fat loss but I think it was just the truly life-altering circumstances surrounding my trip! Not only did I lose weight but I feel more motivated than ever to get healthier and healthier!

I’m back in the gym Monday with a hard lift because I didn’t pick up one damn weight while I was traveling and that’s a shame but hey it happens I guess. My plan is to slowly start changing my routine like I said I would when I got back. I’ll be trying some different exercises and muscle groups as well as getting some outdoor cardio at the park and other places! This month I will be doing a pushup challenge so hit me up if you want in and I will also be doing some dynamic stretching and trying my hand at yoga for big boys I call it.lol. I will break my workout down better when I get it all finished and settled!

My diet has been really steady considering all the travel. Don’t get me wrong I had a few fast food stops but I never ate too many calories and I certainly kept my keto on high alert! The biggest thing I had was maybe too much wine at my mom’s house but hey it was delicious and I’ll probably do that every time I go visit her so it’s all good.lol. My stepdad Charles put some really great food together and I ate like a king, I’m so very grateful! Now that I’m right back to fasting and eating 2 meals daily, I have been missing my bulletproof coffee very much! I’ve been eating so much snack food being on the road so much that now that I’m back I need to get back to my routine, I have a lot more work to do yall! Sorry, I didn’t blog but I’m back and I will be providing more and more posts!

It’s 3 in the morning so I’m going to end here and get some rest but I have missed you all very much!

Good morning everyone and happy Sunday to you and yours! It’s a very rainy and cloudy morning here but the birds are out and chirping so hopefully that means there are great skies ahead! I’ve been a little absent this week and I apologize I have just been getting ready for my road trip to Cali Thursday and I had a lot of loose ends to tie up before I could feel comfy leaving! I already know you all have been killing your goals and chasing your dreams because you guys are amazing! So let’s get into it!

Today I hit the gym to do some low-intensity steady state cardio or L.I.S.S. for short. Normally I do the stairs but I have been trying to give my knees a break because of all the flights plus doing squats daily! They were getting sore and I want to make sure I am up for walking around with the kids when I get to the Westcoast. This week I was able to get all 4 lifts in and also some cardio, even though I haven’t been blogging as much the drive is still sharp and better than ever! later tonight I’ll go back to the gym for round two so that I can lift and do more cardio. I’ll be driving a few days so I need to get a head start on my workouts so that when I get to the hotel I’ll be right on track with my routine! This trip isn’t really about sightseeing and stuff as much as it is spending quality time with my kids and a beautiful change of venue. There is a nice gym at my hotel in Cali so I will be making sure I do my best to get something done even if it’s just a short something.lol. My last workout here will probably be Tuesday and then I’ll start resting and getting ready to drive!

 

We have been all about our diet this past week for real! Not just keeping it low carb and keto but also coming up with some tasty meals to keep our stomachs interested. I have been keeping my carbs down below 50 while lowering my fats a little to help burn more fat and stay full longer. We have switched to doing shopping a month in advance so it has really helped to prepare some large dishes and freeze them for later. I’m definitely taking my food with me when I go on my trip, I’ve come too far and worked too hard to let a road trip get me going backward. I know that I will indulge a little but no more than I do when I’m home and I have a small cheat. I’m loading up my cooler and bags with Keto cool snacks while I am away and don’t plan on getting any gas station stuff with the exception of black coffee or tea. I’m going to leave a few pictures of some food we have been having lately, it’s not fancy but very delicious and simple which is the whole point! Click pic for names:

 

Today I am in the middle of a 36 hour fast with only having coffee and a little broth if I get hungry. When I did it last week it felt pretty easy and I want to try to do a couple of these fasts to mix up my regular 18 daily fasts. The whole point is to keep wielding control over my true hunger and get to a point that I’m more and more insulin sensitive as well as Leptin sensitive. This whole process has really helped me distinguish between hunger and thirst as well as taking full control over my eating habits. I honestly will not be doing fasts longer than 36 hours unless I’m instructed by a doctor, I feel the benefits of a fast this long are sufficient and as long as it doesn’t get stressful I’ll keep using it!

 

That’s about all I have today but I plan on taking my computer with me while I’m tripping so I will certainly be blogging, plus I don’t leave till Thursday at midnight so I’ll be blogging before I leave. I’m still here and available if anyone needs any help or encouragement, that will never change! have a fabulous Sunday homie!

Lift Comp!

Hey homies how’s it going? I’m writing this a little late because my workout and fasting have changed a little bit so I didn’t get up in time to write early. I have really been working on my sleep because I know I need to focus on getting better sleep! Anyway, I am writing now to say happy hump day for you and yours and let’s have a wonderful rest of the week! Of course, I am going to update yall on what I’ve been doing!

I never workout at the gym on Wednesday and I’m glad I don’t because it was super busy.lol. The people at my gym are really nice and helpful but there are just so many people doing so many different machines you feel like just turning back and going home! Of course, you know I didn’t do that I was actually motivated by all the people and I had one of the best workouts I have ever had! I mean my back was killing me but in a good way and I swear me and this 70-year-old lady have issues because every time I did an exercise she did it. I mean movement for movement and I really got into a heated lift off against a senior citizen and honestly, I’m not sure I won! What I do know is that woman is a beast and if I’m like her when I’m that age then I will be super happy! Tomorrow I have chest again and then I have to do some makeup cardio I missed yesterday! I’ll be on my regular schedule tomorrow and I think I will be feeling a little better not having a liftoff.lol.

Listen I have noticed that I have a secret weapon if I miss the gym because sometimes your schedule just doesn’t allow me to hit the gym. That weapon is fasting! So this whole fasting thing has been the single most powerful tool I have found in my fat loss journey even more than Keto. Although I didn’t workout yesterday I extended my fast from 18 hours to 24 hours! This allowed my body to do what it was designed to do which is to clean my insides like a pit crew and get me running at optimum level! Fasting has allowed me to feel in control of my eating problem and it has truly been the key to any success I have had so far! Simply put when your body has no food after digestion it begins to operate all your interior organs with stored fat! Man, are you serious? I’m sure tons of you knew that but not me and now that I know I will continue to use intermittent fasting as a tool to achieve my ultimate health. If you all get time please ask or google fasting and do some research it really is eye-opening!

 

On the diet front, I broke my fast with some wings from Longhorn and a delicious sweet kale salad! If you know me you know I really dig this place so it’s no surprised I ordered some for today and for my dinner tonight! I may be single-handedly keeping them in business and at the very least I know they have had to order more poultry! It’s really amazing thank goodness it’s low carb I would be in real trouble! We have been playing around with some fun quick food choices and I have a few pictures so yall can see. Don’t let your diet get too boring or overwhelming just relax and buy things that will allow you to keep to whatever way you plan to eat to crush your goals!

 

That’s all I have for today I apologize but I’m going to Cali next week and I have been getting ready to roll so my mind has been so focused on the trip that I haven’t been as consistent as I would like! Tripped Up

Happy Friday everyone! I must admit to being very tired this morning and I should have gone back to bed this morning but you know how it is, sometimes you have to drag yourself out of bed and just go! I’m up and at ’em now so no excuses right? If you are celebrating the holiday this weekend I wish you fun and safe travels and even if you aren’t I still wish you the same.lol

 

The gym was empty again yesterday and I got in a great workout pretty much by myself so no complaints here. My chest and shoulders are a little sore but I really pushed hard thru my workout and I added onto the volume of my reps so I feel great about that! Currently, I am also doing a 100 squats a day challenge so my legs are really feeling the burn because that along with my amped up cardio and stairs have put a ton more on my knees and legs. I’m not complaining I’m sure that it will pay off and I’ll be happy that I am getting more lower body work! My inner thighs are already feeling firmer and more flexible so I’m really happy about that! Today I’m back to doing back/biceps along with my squats and Fitbit step goal. If there is one thing I really need to work on it’s creating a pre-workout routine for warming up my muscles, I have really been slacking on that at my shoulders are starting to pay the price.lol.

My diet is going great but I certainly hit a snag of my own doing! I tell you guys everything so I have to tell you that Monday night I had a mini binge with a box of donuts and I had a few pieces of bread and of course I never eat bread anymore and it didn’t turn out too good. I didn’t get sick but when I stepped on the scale this past Wednesday it said I gained like 7 pounds! Now while I know I didn’t gain that much and that it’s probably water it sucks because I know that I made the decision to eat like that and it’s just not worth gaining weight! I’ve been doing so well and it’s not a big deal other than it’s not how I want to do things anymore. I’m o.k with having a treat every now and again but right now I’m on an aggressive stretch of my fat loss journey! I set a few unrealistic goals and I have been crushing them so far so when my results come down to earth I get a little disappointed. It happens to everyone and I haven’t missed a workout or eaten bad since Monday. In fact, I have been in a caloric deficit even lower than normal because now that I’m back to my routine I’m just not as hungry, probably because of all the water from those damn donuts! Life happens and I am not down on myself but I really am pissed that my goal and the timetable I set may not happen because I went a little backward ya know?

Although I am a little disappointed I am still changed! I am not the person I used to be and I won’t stop doing what I have been doing to this point! I will keep making healthy choices and taking control of my eating and habits! Having a cheat here and it isn’t bad but it is for me because of the goals I set for myself. My goals are so high that I really don’t like any setbacks at all!.lol. I’ve become obsessed yall.lol. For me, it’s a good thing because I really want to be better than I was the day before and it’s just a personal thing between me and my old self!

Family Matters

Well, good morning homies! It’s hump day and I apologize for the delay I have been doing a lot of family stuff and I got caught up in that arena! The family had a scare because my girl’s aunt had to be rushed to the hospital but it looks like for now at least she is getting better! Loretta is one of my favorite people on this planet so I had to make sure my girl got a chance to be there for the fam, that’s what all this stuff is about! Family first, second to god in my book! I’m here this morning and your reading this so let’s get on with the get down!

Monday and Tuesday I actually got to work out before all of the family issues happened and they were quality workouts!(I love you aunt Loretta stay up in there!). my gym squad at the gym was completely absent and that’s weird for me to be in the gym by myself especially at like 1 p.m. in the day! I’m sure the crew will be back to it tomorrow, they are just people that workout at the same time I do but I don’t really know them personally but hey it feels weird when I don’t see my familiar gym folks. lol. Today is my all day cardio day and I started it off this morning with 30 flights of stairs! I have to do 35 today because I have to go up every week so I still got 5 more I owe, then I have my 100 squats to do and then my steps for the Fitbit and then swimming: so hopefully I will be able to get everything in! That’s the plan, what y’all got going on today, I’d love to hear what everyone is working on!

So if you follow me on Instagram you know I had a big carb day on Monday night and I mean it was a big one! Honestly, I don’t regret it one bit because I know I’m an addict and I know that means I have to get right back to me and that’s what I did. Tuesday I had a hard fasted workout and I ate really light and all keto! As a sugar addict, I have to be very careful when I eat a few because like a true feen it could compound and turn into a week or a month and several months, I got issues.lol. Having a cheat meal or day is something you just have to play around with and see how it works for you. Just remember it’s the exception, not the rule and you must get back to doing you as soon as possible because fat loss is slow and steady but fat gain is damn near instant in my book. lmao! O.k. that’s not completely true but it feels like it for me. Today I will break my fast with my Keto coffee and some bacon and shredded chicken! Then for my last meal, I will probably have a green smoothie and bowl of Shirataki noodles and chicken! The plan is to make a keto friendly lime cheesecake tonight for dessert but I’ll definitely keep it low to no carbs and have just 1 piece, I’ll let ya’ll know how it turns out as normal! We should be getting my keto granola and that grass-fed meat order tomorrow so I’ll be showing that off as well because I can’t wait to try both! We right back at it!

Do me a favor ya’ll, make a decision to be happy today! We all go through trials and tribulations but making a decision to be happy will help you to get thru anything. Don’t walk over all these blessings in your life and focus on what’s wrong today. Today keep in mind that you got a gift of fresh air and life today and that should carry you far today! No one is promised anything in this life but happiness is something we can have every single day and I wish that for all of you today! Let everyone know you’re happy too, that joy will help others get thru their day as well! Trust me it’s hard to have a rough day with a person who is positive and happy! I love you all and I appreciate your place in this world and in my life! Have a fabulous day!
