Downeaster ‘Alexa’

Good morning to all of you and welcome to another glorious Thursday! We are the blessed and lucky few who actually get to see another day on this beautiful earth and I pray you all find something to smile about today!

IMG_0005.JPG

If felt so great to get back to the gym yesterday! Honestly, I planned to start my workouts for the week today but I got restless with all this chilling at home and I had to get my ass up and hit the workout hard! I may have found a good time to go to my gym in the daytime and if that’s true then Your boi will definitely start going in the bright lights of daytime. My heart will always want to be in the gym alone but hey until I get my home gym together I better learn how to share the damn gym with others right? lol. The workout started with 30 minutes of cardio at a great pace while I listened to the legendary Billy Joel wail about his Downeaster Alexa and Pearl Jam take me back to my teenage years with “Jeremy” and “Black!” I was channeling my inner white kid for the cardio session and it was fantastic! Grunge music is made for cardio, if you don’t know you better ask somebody and is there ever a time that Billy Joel isn’t appropriate? Anyway, for strength training, I did interval back and biceps until I couldn’t take it anymore! The workout was only about 58 minutes but it felt great!  You all have my word I will start trying to add pictures of my strength training at some point!

So after having my traditional chicken salad and some bulletproof coffee I started to make the keto brownies I mentioned yesterday. The truth is these brownies are not bad but not great and I’ve said it so many times that you really have to keep searching to find sugar free baked goods that taste great! On a scale of 1 to 10 I would give them a 7 so they aren’t horrible at all. They are very moist and chocolatey but I just have a hard time dealing with coconut flour. If you are o.k with coconut flour I definitely recommend this if you’re trying to keep it keto! brownie recipe. It’s a youtube video from keto Connect and they make it really simple to follow! Let me know if you try them, maybe your a better cook then me and they turn out amazing for you. Please don’t get the wrong idea these are good they just aren’t great and for me, if they aren’t great I will probably only make them every now and then. I only made half a batch……

Before I bounce I just want to say the lettuce is trying to grow for your boi! Enjoy your Thursday homies!

Making Progress

5.jpg

It’s hump day yall and it’s great to be back blogging after a few days off! I have just been chilling and trying to deal with this cold weather system we have had blow thru the southeast the last week or so. Kids are still not in school because of the snow accumulation and freezing rain here in Kentucky but it looks like a safe bet they will have school tomorrow! Let’s hope! I can’t front, I’m loving the snow and all it brings minus the accidents and all. I love a good winter wonderland!

Screenshot_20180117-091555.jpg

I haven’t been to the gym this week but I have been getting plenty of sleep this week and I feel amazing! I typically don’t have a problem sleeping but I know I don’t get anywhere near the recommended amount of minimal sleep per night! It’s been like 8 or 9 hours a night and I’ll admit it really does help; definitely feeling refreshed. As you know the other day I was running from pizza, but today I can honestly say that I have been eating pretty good and I have intermittently fasted every day for the last 10 days in a row so I’m getting a fine handle on that front! The kitchen was bare yesterday and we had zero produce but I went and grabbed some at Krogers last night and stocked up so I’m good to go this morning! I’m thinking of making a batch of keto brownies today that I’m really excited about because I have never made any that weren’t made the old fashion way with lots of sugar and chocolate! If it turns out good or bad you all know that I will post it on my next blog! While I won’t be I.F. today I will be keeping it keto as normal with a monster salad and some B.P.C! Then I’ll focus on the deserts of brownies and maybe some keto shortcake for my second meal, I’ll figure it out.lol

This past week I have had some mental battles with myself about fat loss. It seems like there are days when it doesn’t feel like I’m losing fast enough! My mind knows it’s all a process but the spoiled man in me wants all the results now, you know the perfect body overnight.ha ha ha. The same mind that pushes me to get up when I fall and to stay positive is the same mind that manufactures my doubts. It’s funny how that works but I know it happens to all of us. Sometimes you have to battle with your own team(mind) ain’t that a bitch! Usually, when this happens I watch a movie or I check to see how far I have come, anything to get my head right! This process isn’t always easy but it’s definitely apart of the journey and all I can say is we just have days we have to fight and fight no matter what!

Screenshot_20180117-091632.jpg

Great news homies since November 11th till now I have lost another 3 inches on my waist! I feel really great about this because I have so much to lose and it helps to see progress, especially since I don’t have my scale in from Amazon yet. O.k I know we shouldn’t be obsessed with weight but I have to at least know that I’m making progress on days I feel like I’m not, so I had to order one.lol. Did I mention I’m excited about the measurements? I lost size in my chest and other areas as well but my waist is my biggest area of concern for now so I’m super focused on my midsection! I just measured in the middle of making this post because I’m supposed to do it monthly and it totally slipped my mind. With this new planner, it’s hard not to write everything down because it’s staring at me every day, all day.lol

Enjoy your hump day and be safe on those crazy streets!

Snow Love

20180113_092624.jpg20180113_092616.jpg20180113_092608.jpg20180113_092630.jpg

What is it about snow days that make the sleep so much better than normal? Man, I slept like a champ last night and when we woke up this morning there was a good amount of snow on the ground! As we get older we start seeing snow different than we did as kids but not I. I have and will always love snow! The conditions to drive certain places can get a little dicey I admit but I just love how snow makes even nasty looking places look pleasant! So when I woke up to snow this morning, I was as happy as a previous me would have loved to wake up to pancakes.lol. O.k who am I kidding, waking up to pancakes is still heavenly but since I try to stay away from bread and the like it’s whatever.

The workout will take place at home today since the gym has been closed due to the snow and I’m fine with that. I can get 10k steps around the house and do my best version of setups and pushups to get my heart rate up. Hey, I have a question does anyone reading do interval cardio? You know where you do 40 seconds at a normal pace and then 20 seconds as hard as you can? I was just curious how effective that is because I have seen videos where people say they only do 10 to 15 minutes of cardio that way and they get really great results and I was thinking of trying it! Please let me know if you do a similar cardio workout. Today I’m going to do 2 workouts so that I’ll have my 6 that I needed because tomorrow is Sunday and that starts the new week so wish me luck.

The diet was amazing and it was because I got a carb day yall and I actually got to have mashed potatoes. I honestly haven’t had mashed potatoes for at least 6 months and they tasted great. There were even a few delicious potato chips that I got to have and they were o.k but not as great as I remember. The only problem was because I don’t consume carbs that aren’t from veggies anymore my tummy wasn’t very happy with me so I spent the remainder of the day stranded on the porcelain and it was no fun. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed the food but I think I should have had maybe a little less of it, but oh well lesson learned. Folks, be sure to give yourself days or meals where you eat the foods you no longer eat anymore, it’s important not only to help with cravings but also to stay realistic about your diet. This is a lifestyle, not a temporary thing and if you think that you will never ever eat another food that has a few too many sugars in them you’re not being realistic. Think about it you will never have another piece of cake for the rest of your natural life? That may work for some of you but I know it will never ever work for me. Now I realize that people use almond and coconut flours to may cakes and other baked goods and that’s great, but I have yet to taste one that’s even close to the taste of white flour. I just take the hit every so often and then fast the next day for as long as it takes to get that garbage out of my system and I get back. Please don’t misunderstand me, if you having a carb day and it turns into 5 days, then maybe you shouldn’t do it, but after awhile doing keto, you will be able to quickly have a few guilty calories and be o.k every now and again! It ain’t gon’ hurt nobody right Kid and Play?

Screenshot_20180113-095510.jpg

Today I will enjoy the snow and sip some amazing coffee and enjoy the day. Tomorrow is never promised and if every day is a blessing than shouldn’t we embrace the blessing and be happy? I wish everyone a fun and enjoyable day and that your moments are filled with fond and delightful events that make your heart sing! Peace!

Resolution Check

Screenshot_20180112-064452.jpg

Good morning on this feezing Friday! Everyone wherever you are please be safe and take it slow if you’re traveling through a lot of bad weather like we are having here in Kentucky! We are expected to get some pretty icky weather here, from freezing rain to snow and beyond.lol. Just because the weather stinks it doesn’t mean I can slack off and so here we go…

Because I knew about the weather I got up super duper early and killed a quick workout! That’s 4 of the 6 I need this week to be good again so it’s looking great so far! This morning after the cardio, which is going great at the 30-minute amount I worked chest and triceps with interval training. The gym was unusually active for so early in the morning I guess we all had the same idea about getting it done early.lol. My body honestly feels like I could broad jump the moon today, I am just so full of energy! I think I’m going to need it with all this weather nonsense today!

20180109_011349.jpg

On the plate yesterday I had more honey garlic chicken with a monster salad and sunflower seeds. My second meal was a smoothie and a small helping of ground sausage with coconut oil and butter. No bulletproof coffee at all yesterday and I’m not really sure why because I tend to have it every day. I gotta tell you guys not counting calories has really helped me relax and focus better on what’s important for me. The fast yesterday was only about 16 hours and it felt just as easy as the other fasts. I’m finally to the point that I can eat when I want to and I know I have a goal for the day as to how long to fast. The only time I plan to count calories is if I have a cheat day so that I don’t go too crazy and stay relatively close 2k calories. I’m thinking of having a cheat day today but honestly, I really don’t feel like I’m craving anything out of the ordinary.

20180109_195102.jpg

I’ve been reading about everyone’s goals for the new year and I think it’s great! We are coming into the meat of the month of January and this is the time that people slowly lose grip on all those big goals and dreams they wrote down! Please recognize that those goals are important to you and that you can do it and it may start to get easy to miss a workout here and there and get complacent but hold fast. Remember why you made that list in the first place and if you truly want those things, double down on your efforts in the coming weeks. Most polls show that 78% of people stop working on their new years’ resolutions in the 2nd or 3rd week of January. The great news is those people who continue thru the month of January have an 80% percent chance of staying with it! So that tells me that if we can just get thru these tough couple weeks we will get into a rhythm of goal chasing that will continue on all year! I believe in all of you and I know that greatness is embedded deep inside all of us, we can do this! Have a fantastic weekend and have a fun time reaching your goals!

Grow Box

Screenshot_20180111-162710.jpg

Thursday is always a good day as far as I’m concerned! I hope everyone is having a great and happy week as we get ready to slide into the weekend! Yesterday, we were running all kinds of errands and running around with our heads cut off but we still got everything done, including the workout! I got 3 workouts down and 3 more to go to make up for last week, I’m so serious about making every single week count!

Screenshot_20180111-162828.jpg

Yesterday workout was fast and very explosive. Interval strength training is kicking my butt but I love it. I only did about 30 minutes of lifting but with only about 10 seconds between reps, my muscles screamed for relief. Even though back and biceps are my worse strength areas, yesterdays workout showed me just how far I have come in those 2 areas! Not only did I increase my weight but I was able to slide from one exercise to the next with no break in between. I’m loving the feeling of having gains in the gym! Today, because of my schedule, I will be doing cardio at home and then waking up at 3 a.m. to do strength training! We gotta get these goals taken care of for sure!

On the eating front, I am so happy to report I had some bomb honey garlic chicken for dinner last night! I’ll admit I had to take the small hit for honey to my macros but those were my only carbs/sugars of the day so I’m good. Don’t worry I took a few pictures so you all could see! If someone like me can throw this stuff together than anyone can! Had 2 meals as usual and fasted for 18 hours to complete the routine. My fasting is actually getting to be fun because instead of doing just the warrior fasting, I have been doing random fasts to mix my body up and I really feel like it’s working! My tummy has no idea when food is coming it just knows when it comes, there will be lots of greens and some amazing proteins until I get to the point where I can just eat veggies which is my goal later in life!

I promised to show you guys my seedlings are coming in and I also want to show you all my cool little ghetto grow box I made out of a tote!

I’m growing red leaf and mixed leaf lettuce to start and then some herbs! Hopefully, after this, I can transfer them to a hydroponic system later once I learn more and more! Have a fabulous day homies and I’ll be back to write a little more Friday which promises to be adventurous around here with all the freezing rain we are supposed to get, my goodness!

Back To Basics

Screenshot_20180109-164318.jpg

It’s on today because I finally got some sleep. It wasn’t looking too good at first because of the college national championship game last night had me up a little later than I planned but the game was certainly worth it. After Alabama’s freshman backup threw a game-winning touchdown in overtime I was too pumped to go to sleep so I headed to the gym. Granted it was after 1 in the morning but hey I was up and the gym is right behind my place so I’ll take it.Once I got home and hit the bed it was lights out and into some of the best damn sleep I have had this year!

20180109_011353-1.jpg

Once I made it to the gym I was able to do about 30 minutes of cardio on my favorite elliptical machine. I needed a little more than my usual 20 minutes because as you know I really slacked last week so I did about 10 minutes more with no real discomfort. I’ll probably just start doing 30 on the regular now that I know it feels fine. in the strength training department, I did a chest and triceps circuit workout and that felt amazing. My whole upper body is still shaking but it was a good push! I’m back at it later tonight for back and biceps! Maybe I needed those few days off because my body felt fresh and super responsive the entire workout! Not to mention I was in the midst of a 20 hour fast and you all know how much I really believe in fasted cardio.

The diet, and by that I mean what I ate because I’m not on a diet in the traditional sense, I did pretty well getting back on track. The whole 2 meal thing is back on and that’s the way I want to keep it because it seems to keep my body satisfied, plus with keto, the foods are so low in carbs that I don’t feel bloated or weighted down. I got another great smoothie yesterday which is becoming a daily habit and with the chia seeds more filling. Today when I woke up I got to have one of my large salads with chicken and cheese, simply amazing how easy and delicious this way of eating can be. It helps in my case that I am so damn routine with my tastes because I really think I could have a salad a day for the rest of my life and be just fine with little else. I got issues I’m aware.

Screenshot_20180109-164415.jpg

I’ve been reading a lot of blogs lately and I am so proud of how many people are doing more to get healthier and happier. I think it’s fantastic that you all have decided to do what makes you happy and help others as well. No matter what I do I always look forward to the next post I read on here because every day someone somewhere inspires me and I’m so very grateful. Lastly, I am happy to report that my seedlings are slowing starting to show in my lettuce cups! I’m so happy and I can’t wait to experiment with different methods to produce my own healthy foods.

Screenshot_20180109-164500.jpg

Do something wonderful for yourself today and if you feel like it please share what it was, I’m always interested in hearing when folks do right by themselves, it’s so important! Until next time my friends!!………..

Aquaponics

Monday, Monday it’s back again and I want to wish all of you a fantastic kickoff to the week. Today my kids got a snow day basically because it’s super icy out and they didn’t want to take any chances with the buses and stuff. I for one am glad that they didn’t have school because I really don’t want to be out in the bad weather driving myself so I’m even more nervous about someone else driving my kids in bad weather.

Screenshot_20180108-092044.jpg

Boy did I blow it last week on the workout front, I only got to the gym 2 times and I planned on going at least 4 so I stunk it up. This coming week I’m going to make up for it by working out 6 of the 7 days of this week. Normally I would give myself rest in between but I’ll just break up the type of workouts I do and maybe do some late night swimming like R.E.M. Truth be told, for what I pay for the gym I probably should be doing it every day anyway.lol. The cool thing is I spent a lot of time with the family this weekend and we had a ball. It’s been awhile since we have all been home on a weekend together so we watched movies, played Uno and made lots of cool meals together! Now, I should have still hit the gym but I didn’t and while I’m not down on myself about it that doesn’t mean the work doesn’t need to be done.

Not to worry good people I kept it keto, for the most part, this weekend. Actually tried chia seeds for the first time in my life in a smoothie. I would love to tell you they taste great but I didn’t really taste them mixed in with my green monster of a smoothie. I know they are a healthy fat choice so I just threw a couple tablespoons in! On Friday I had a few carbs with a small serving of angel hair spaghetti and ground sausage. Then for dinner, it was a delicious Bulletproof coffee, sunflower seeds and green smoothie mix that got my good fats in me for the day.  Saturday was a real treat because we all had a meal together as a family which doesn’t happen as much as I would like. My oldest son made sugar free crepes and they were amazing. Of course, the ones they had were full of sugar but I kept it sugar-free with the exception of sampling a bite of the Carmel filled one and it was heaven.lol. Yesterday I made myself a fathead pizza with extra cheese and ground sausage and it was yummy and so filling that all I could muster for dinner was a green smoothie with those chia seeds I mentioned earlier. I felt very good about my eating this weekend and I didn’t feel bloated or overfeed at all. No binging took place and I stayed away from candy and added sugar!

Screenshot_20180108-091902.jpg

Folks if you get a chance look up Aquaponics! I may just be slow to the party but I stumbled upon this system of growing veggies and I was blown away! It’s crazy how fast and plentiful the greens grow plus they conserve so very much. There’s hardly any mal-effect on the environment and truth be told I’m going to start using the system as soon as my seedlings germinate! I’m so excited and trust me when I tell you I never ever thought I would say that about gardening. I must be getting super old but I’m mesmerized by the idea that I can help grow something that I can consume! So if you get a moment just google it and tell me what you think about this system. Have a fantastic Monday and I’ll be back tomorrow to talk about the workout that had better have been accomplished.!

Cold, Fast,Avocado

Good morning everyone and welcome to another glorious Friday! As you know the weather is ridiculously cold and frosty this time of year and here in Kentucky, we are getting hit pretty hard with very cold temperatures. Wherever you are I wish you comfort, heat, and relaxation today!

Jumping right into it; yesterday was a very good day and I was able to get a lot of things accomplished. I hit the gym at my usual o’dark thirty time and had a great cardio and strength training session. Yesterday was back and bicep day and my body is feeling pretty great and not as sore as it had been while doing the same workout. The gym was an absolute ghost town and Rick Ross had me pumped while I hustled through my hour-long routine.  I felt like I was on fire at the gym and I think it had something to do with me working out in a fasted state. In fact, I ended up fasting for 34 hours which is a personal best for me. I typically don’t fast longer than 24 hours but as you know I decided to pig out on junk food the other day so I needed a restart. Folks if you ever feel like you had a bit of a struggle or you had one too many meals in a day, fasting can really help you to even the scales. It allows your body to burn through all the stored glucose in your body and switch to using stored fat for fuel. Another awesome benefit is that if you’re a calorie counter you can simply break your overeating up over 2 days if you fast for 24 hours and you won’t feel bad that you had more than you should. Fasting is just another tool and I like to use as many as possible because this is a lifestyle and there will be times you suck at staying on track.lol.

When I did break my fast I had my usual baked chicken with a few pork rinds but get this I actually tried something new and I must admit it was great. I made a green smoothie using frozen avocado cubes and it was really delicious. I’m not a fan of these fruits at all however they are fantastic for you and are a source of healthy fat I never use. I mixed it in with my frozen collards, a tablespoon of peanut butter and a few frozen pineapple chunks for sweetness and it was the bomb! I didn’t even taste the avocado but it gave the smoothie a better consistency that I really love. I bought like 8 because they were on sale at Krogers for 69 cents and you just can’t beat that price! For the next 8 days or so I’ll be having my greens in smoothie form instead of my huge salads and I think it will do me some good because I’ll be forced to drink more liquids, which I need to be better at.

20180104_173139.jpg

Today if it’s possible I would like to talk about sleep. Has anyone else noticed that with the increased workouts that they sleep less? If you do, please let me know what you have found to work. For the last few days, I’m so wired when I hit the mat that I can barely get any sleep and I lay there restless. I realize how vitally important sleep is and I really need to have better rest but I really don’t want to take a sleeping aid if I don’t have to. Any advice on this would be appreciated.

Screenshot_20180105-090117.jpg

Lastly, thank you to everyone who has gone to my facebook page Alexx’s Keto Avenue, liked it and spent time looking around. I really appreciate it and I want to know if there is anything anyone is looking for that I may need to put on there. It certainly doesn’t have to be keto related but anything about a healthy lifestyle anyone wants to get together about let me know and I’ll do my best to respond. Have a fabulous Friday and go enjoy a glorious weekend everyone!

Let’s Get It!!

IMG_20171213_060109_218.jpg

Good morning to all of you and happy Tuesday! I am hoping that everyone had a safe and fun new year and that you all are settling into this glorious new beginning. This morning has started off fantastic, I just knocked out my first workout of the year and I must say it was fantastic! I love college football and as the games were playing I must have dozed off at halftime because I woke up at like midnight and my body was really wanting to get this first workout of the year in the books! My workout consisted of chest and triceps and even though I felt I pushed it, I was kinda on exploration mode this morning at the gym. I’m still fairly new to the layout and I found myself wandering around trying to see were this and that goes.lol The elliptical and I are back on great terms and we worked together for about 20 minutes of nice paced cardio. As you all know I absolutely love that machine and I actually look forward to cardio because of it!

20180102_011942.jpg

Yesterday I had one of my signature obese salads with Romain, Green Onion, and Arugula and it was delicious, although I ran out of the homemade dressing so I’m hoping I still have the ingredients to bust out a few more batches later today! Of course, I followed the salad with my simple baked chicken and a tall glass of water. To be honest, I really only have maybe 4 or 5 things that I make over and over again, I’m pretty basic and simple with my Keto meals. The kids are back home from their dad’s and I’m so glad to see them; however. they were loaded down with all types of cookies and candy from the holidays with the other half of the family. I was like noooo! I felt like Kevin in that movie Home Alone.lol. Everything they brought home looked amazing and of course, loaded with sugar and I did all I could to look away. Ugh! It feels amazing to have their energy and enthusiasm back in the house, they just make the atmosphere seem better! O.k I have to mention that I fasted 20 hours yesterday and only had one meal, which is something I really try not to do because I don’t want to be malnourished or anything. I don’t know how it works for all of you but if I have too many days that I’m under a certain caloric intake I end up binging and we can’t have that!

I just wanted to share something with you guys that’s completely and totally off topic for me but Have you all seen Dave Chappelle’s new stand up comedy show’s on Netflix? There are two of them and they are absolutely hilarious. His comedy is certainly not for everyone, but to me, he has an amazing mixture of interesting topics and the punchlines are always on point! You should definitely check them out if you need a quick laugh this week. I wish you all the very best day possible and don’t forget that you are worth all the effort it takes to be the very best you can be! If you need any support or any advise that I can help with please don’t hesitate to check out my facebook page! Alexx’s Keto Avenue.

Bedroom Olympics

Screenshot_20171229-101646.jpg

Another glorious Friday is upon us and I feel great! Despite being ridiculously cold and rigid outside the amazing sun has made its presence felt and that means everything to for me. There’s something about working at my computer with coffee perking in the background and the sun beaming thru the blinds that just makes it impossible to have a bad day!

I changed it up a little because of the schedule at home so I had to do my workout late last night instead of my usual middle of the night routine. The gym was still fairly empty so I managed to work my chest and triceps with few interruptions. This may be completely selfish but I absolutely love having the gym all to myself. Besides having my pick of any piece of equipment, it makes me feel like I’m working out while my old self would be laying in bed eating all kinds of bad food and being unproductive. My arms are still sore from doing curls from my last workout and it was difficult to finish last night but hey it’s not supposed to always be easy right?

After having to swallow the shame of my girl being right, my eating has really been super easy. I made fathead pizza for dinner and I consumed a huge salad for my lunch. These obese salads are really amazing because I can put so many different varieties of nutrients in them. Yesterday I had half green leaf and half Chinese cabbage and it was very yummy!  My carbs stayed super low at about 34g, so I’ll take that and be extremely happy. I did tons of shopping yesterday and it was so funny how my grocery cart has changed. When I’m pushing that bad boy these days it’s like I went plant shopping or something because It’s just heaping with greens and veggies. For me, that’s a major accomplishment because I really love my meats and processed foods. Like I said, I’ll always be an addict to those types of foods and while I still eat meat I hardly ever even buy processed foods with the exception of my oils and such. My body is so happy to be back on the foods it’s become accustomed to that literally I feel like I lost 10 pounds last night as if my body was saying “let’s reward his get back with a little hyper weight loss”.lol. I hope that’s the case because I don’t do scales even though I probably should!

That’s all I have for today other than to say I will be working out again tonight because of schedule and I’m fine with it. There’s always an excuse to not workout but what I’m learning is if you look at it there’s always an excuse to go as well. You’re not going to lose a ton of weight by working out but you can feel better and certainly add to all the healthy benefits of your eating you have been doing. It’s also a great excuse to just get out of the house and do something that you can honestly say you did for you. Exercise is the one area that it’s really o.k to be selfish with. Of course, you can and should have self-love without it but if it adds to your overall feeling of joy and satisfaction you should do it. If however, you hate to exercise but you know you need it simply do things around the house or at work to maximise your fat burning. Exercise doesn’t require you to make a huge plan and join a gym if that’s not your thing, the amazing thing about it is you can do a wide variety of things to get your body moving. Don’t call it exercise if you don’t like, call it something else like Training for the bedroom Olympics or something.lol. Whatever it takes to get you going right?

Take this weekend and enjoy your life, read a book, take a walk with your loved one or catch a play! Make some memories that make you smile!
